This Summer we had the insane pleasure of helping our friend Joel (who modeled for us in this shoot) plan the most epic surprise proposal! He called one day saying he was getting Kadie a golden retriever puppy and that he wanted to ask her to marry him, and if we could help put together a shoot to distract her. Um, yes please. Kadie is gorgeous and I’ve wanted an excuse of having her model for us forever! For months Joel and I planned the shoot out, and then I casually reached out to Kadie on instagram and asked if her and Joel were available to model. He was surprisingly available and willing, haha! So we pulled together a beautiful elopement editorial, and Kadie had NO idea what we were up to. I asked if she could bring a change of clothes so that we could photograph the two of them out of the editorial wedding outfit as a thank you for modeling for us. That was our cue for Joel to head back to the parking lot where a friend was waiting with the puppy. My hands were SHAKING…like I was the one proposing, haha! I distracted Kadie with a lipstick change while Jeremiah “tested the light” and Joel walked up behind her the fluffiest, cutest puppy I’ve ever seen. I’m SO happy we pulled this off. Kadie was so shocked. She got a diamond and puppy, so it can’t get much better! I shared a few of these images in a dog lovers group on facebook, because hello, gorgeous girl in a gorgeous location with the cutest golden retrievers. It went viral. It went on The Today Show, The Daily Mail , The NY Post , our own local news did a story which you can watch our awkwardness here. It went countless other places, I couldn’t really keep up, haha! We’re so excited to join Kadie and Joel for their wedding this July!
Laine + Zach | Many Glacier Hotel | Glacier National Park Elopement
Laine and Zach chose to elope in Glacier National Park, just the two of them and their friend from Montana officiating. We were so lucky to join these two, and show them one of our favorite parts of the park, Many Glacier Hotel! This was in May, before the hotel was even open, so besides the nearby wildlife, it was just us for miles. Can't imagine a more perfect place to say your vows!! Since these two cuties were coming from out of state, I, Rachel, made Laine's bouquet, and did her hair and makeup. Her stunning dress from BHLND looked amazing in the wind on top of the plateau we found for their ceremony over looking Swift Current Lake. Laine and Zach have since added a beautiful baby girl to their family, and we couldn't be happier for them! Weddings are always special, but elopements like this tug at my heart strings. We ended the evening with the two of them sharing a First Dance on the shores of the lake...and yes, I cried.
Kate and RJ: Great Gastby Elopement, Glacier Park Weddings
Kate and RJ's intimate wedding was an absolute dream come true! Their love of classic literature was the inspiration behind this gorgeous day. They wanted it to feel like Jay Gatsby himself came to Montana to throw a party for ten. With the help of Kelsey at Glacier Park Weddings, they made this vision come to life perfectly. Touches of art deco, vintage cocktails that RJ made for his guests, a menu straight from 1920's cookbooks, with Glacier Park as the most stunning back drop. Even Gatsby's Lemon Cake. Every last detail was amazing! We LOVED this small wedding of just family and we are so excited to join Kate and RJ next summer for a big reception celebration!

Matthew: Columbia Falls High School Senior
So, I just need to have a big sister moment. This is my baby brother Matthew and ahhhhh isn't he just the cutest?! I CAN'T believe my little brother old enough to be a senior!!!! I'll never forget the first day he rode the bus, I think he was in 1st grade and I sat with him cause that's what big sisters do. The bus made a weird noise and Matthew looked at me and said "is the bus going to blow up?" Hahaha! Such a boy! I'll also never forget the day he came home from kindergarten with his school pictures, held them up to my mom and said "is dis my smile?!" He had the silliest little grin across his face in the pictures and was definitely NOT his normal smile, but it was pretty stinking cute. He still his. So here we go. Matthew's Senior pictures. I guess I'll have to get used to saying "Matthew's Senior" anything now....sad, and exciting.
