About Jeremiah and Rachel
Hello! We’re Jeremiah and Rachel! Montana based wedding photographers. We provide classic and timeless photography, as well as vintage Super 8mm wedding movies to couples around the globe. Our stories began around 2008 when the both of us, young, carefree, and wild, found ourselves and our love of photography while traveling in far-off places. What was set in motion so long ago, led us to each other and has not stopped inspiring us since.
After a year of road trips, sunrises, and getting a puppy together, we were married in 2012, under a tree full of lights in Montana. Movie quotes and late-night dreaming became our love language, and our cameras became a way of writing it all down.
We’re self-proclaimed nerds who spend way too much time discussing Star Wars. You can often find Rachel daydreaming about cute houses and flowers, while Jeremiah is reading an article about philosophy or history and making a “Damn fine cup of coffee!”. Wherever we are though, Winnie and Brinkley, our two golden retrievers are sure to be there too, demanding snuggles- which we willingly oblige.
Every wedding we photograph is part of our shared vision together, and couldn’t imagine it any other way. We use both digital and film cameras, but when possible we love creating images on film. It brings a magic and life to our work, helping us to craft intimate, and timeless images for every couple. We believe that moments and stories matter, and through photography we hope to leave the world a little brighter in love.
Second only to photography, we are inspired by travel and new places. So far our list includes Scotland, Norway, England, Wales, Italy, Iceland, Romania, Panama, Mexico and Canada, and all over the States. We are always looking for the chance to make this list longer, and would love to talk if you are having a destination wedding!

Our PHILOSOPHY…
For most of us, our days are spent looking at screens. We use them for work, play, and entertainment. Images and media have become something of a commodity. Our phones have amazing cameras in them, our movies are in 4k, we can spend hours scrolling endlessly through images, barely stopping to give a double tap to “like”. This all starts sounding a bit depressing, but stick with me.
We remember what it was like, how a movie could change your life, how the pages of a magazine could make you dream, how images and media had intention, and lasted longer than the time it takes to scroll down. Don’t get us wrong, we love how easy it is to connect, share, and make art in this world. It’s wonderful, but we also believe that art without soul and intention, pictures meant only for likes, and the constant pursuit of the next thing can leave us all feeling a bit numb and empty.
Our work was born out of that desire. That dream of creating timeless art and moments that stay with you. Photographs found in the attic, working like a time machine. We want to make bookends for your memories, that you can fill with the in-between. We want the idea that light from a star, hitting chemicals and making an image is something magical, and should be treated as such. We don’t do these things because they are practical, easy, or quick. Life it too full of wonder and awe. We want to make people look up from a screen, connect with us, and make beautiful wonderful magical things that will outlast us all.
In the grand scheme of it all, our lives are too short and spectacular to be quantified in likes and algorithms, and it’s with that belief that we work. These are your wedding images, a celebration of something new. These photographs will mark moments that will define everything that was before and everything that is to come. We are honored that we get to be even a small part of that. It makes us nervous and excited every time. This is more than a job, a service, or product. This is a story and we, along with you, are storytellers…
the Wedding day
Each persons story is different, and every wedding is just as unique. We work with each couple to make sure our approach is comfortable and authentic to them. We want you to be able to take a breath, remember the moments, and take it in. We think that a genuine laugh, or a gentle embrace is always better that something stiff and contrived. We give direction to our couples while looking for the in between moments, because that’s where the magic happens. We have been on the other side of this process, we get it. We also know that there is no one-size fits all to a wedding day, and with each couple we work to tailor each experience to your story. We are in this with you, and want to make something with you. If I could tell each couple only one thing, it would be that photography is a two way conversation. We bring all of our experience, vision and love of photography to every day, but we are there to tell a story uniquely yours, with everything that you are together, and as individuals. We only need you to show us that, show us that story. Your story. If you do that, if you let us connect with you, I promise we will make something wonderful together.

Unsurprisingly, on the wedding day they made the photos fun and enjoyable for our family and wedding party. It takes some serious skill to make posed family photos all look amazing and they did just that! Everyone that interacted with them at the wedding was beyond impressed.
Finally, Jeremiah & Rachel are the most genuine and down to earth people. We loved getting to know them over the last year and a half and honestly consider them friends! They really care about their clients and LOVE what they do. Their energy, excitement, and passion for photography makes working with them so much fun. We loved having them as a part of this special time in our lives and are so grateful for our photos - we will cherish them forever!
