This Summer we had the insane pleasure of helping our friend Joel (who modeled for us in this shoot) plan the most epic surprise proposal! He called one day saying he was getting Kadie a golden retriever puppy and that he wanted to ask her to marry him, and if we could help put together a shoot to distract her. Um, yes please. Kadie is gorgeous and I’ve wanted an excuse of having her model for us forever! For months Joel and I planned the shoot out, and then I casually reached out to Kadie on instagram and asked if her and Joel were available to model. He was surprisingly available and willing, haha! So we pulled together a beautiful elopement editorial, and Kadie had NO idea what we were up to. I asked if she could bring a change of clothes so that we could photograph the two of them out of the editorial wedding outfit as a thank you for modeling for us. That was our cue for Joel to head back to the parking lot where a friend was waiting with the puppy. My hands were SHAKING…like I was the one proposing, haha! I distracted Kadie with a lipstick change while Jeremiah “tested the light” and Joel walked up behind her the fluffiest, cutest puppy I’ve ever seen. I’m SO happy we pulled this off. Kadie was so shocked. She got a diamond and puppy, so it can’t get much better! I shared a few of these images in a dog lovers group on facebook, because hello, gorgeous girl in a gorgeous location with the cutest golden retrievers. It went viral. It went on The Today Show, The Daily Mail , The NY Post , our own local news did a story which you can watch our awkwardness here. It went countless other places, I couldn’t really keep up, haha! We’re so excited to join Kadie and Joel for their wedding this July!
Mickey + Mikenna Engagement | Capitol Hill, Washington D.C.
Was so excited to visit Washington DC for the first time this past year, and get the locals tour with Mickey and Mikenna, before their Montana wedding this summer. Was absolutely blown away by the beautiful fall colors in the capitol, and Mickey and Mikenna are some of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with!

Kevin and Priscilla, Sharkfin Cove, California
In the midst of our busy season, with the constant travel and photographing it can be difficult for us to take a moment, and slow down. No matter how busy we are, the coast always brings us back. For us the coast, and ocean will always be where we fell in love.
Needless to say, we never miss a chance to photograph couples when we travel along the coast, and we are so glad we had the chance to meet Kevin and Priscilla for this beautiful night.
Sharktooth beach was amazing, and watching the wonderful way only two souls ridiculously in love can be, we had inspiration to spare. We always tell couples to think of an engagement session as a date, just with us there to capture the magic. We ran along the beach, laughing and enjoying a beautiful sunset, sometimes just pausing to watch the waves crash against the rocks, and the beautiful shades of pink and blue that would result.
Nights like these make us love what we do so much. Congrats Kevin and Priscilla! The joy you both have in each other in contagious, and wonderful.

Aly + Nick, Snowy Glacier Park Engagement Session
As a photographer in Montana, you pretty much have to be prepared for anything, including a Narnia like snow storm. We couldn't be happier with this engagement session with Aly and Nick a few months ago. We all drove up to glacier park, in one of the biggest snow storms of the year and made it work. Can't wait to photograph the wedding this december!
