Fall roadtrip through Glacier National Park

A few frames from a couple of years ago when our friend Alex came up and we gave him the tour of one of our favorite places in Glacier National Park. Bowman lake is a bit of a drive, but always worth it.

Fun fact, I left my camera on the edge of the lake and only realized it once we had gotten home, so drove back in the middle of the night to get it. It worked out because I got to see a wolf cub, thankfully from the car.

Botany Study | Loom Sessions Part 1 | Bloomsbury Farms, Tennessee | Nashville Film Photographer

Part one of five from the Loom Sessions at Bloomsbury Farms, in Nashville, Tennessee. It was the first time I'd photographed in a workshop like setting, and so I opted to keep things as simple on my end as possible, putting the focus more on watching the direction, and story that Ginny Au had put together. For this portion, I used my Pentax 6x7, with Kodak 160 film. It was wonderfully challenging to limit myself to 10 shots a roll, as a sequence unfolded, and I loved the way it turned out. More to come soon!

Ryenn: Kauai, Hawaii

This past April we actually went on real vacation with my family. It was absolutely wonderful to spend a week on the gorgeous island of Kauai...so much that I didn't want to leave and I would pack my bags in a heartbeat to go back!! Of course, we can't be somewhere that amazing and not do a shoot! We were actually looking at tumblr at pictures of the island, when this beautiful lady showed up. On a whim we reached out to her and I'm so happy it worked out to do a small fun shoot with her!!! Ryenn is obviously gorgeous, but she's also very sweet and talented. I wouldn't be surprised to see her face in a catalog or runway one day! Gotta say, I'm insanely jealous of her island life-style. I made the flower head piece myself using the flowers on our house's property. Thank you Hawaii for being amazing, sheesh!

Thanks a million Ryenn!! xoxo

The Keys

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of seeing the florida Keys for the first time with my friend Brett Birdsong. Details of our swashbuckling adventures are lost to the sea, but I did manage to shoot some Kodak film. I'm in love with the ocean, and the combination of film and the sea is something that words can't really capture.

Shot on Hasselblad 500c, and Yashica T3. Kodak Portra 160 film. Scan and processing by Photovision
