Lindee + Todd's Wedding | Whitefish, Montana

Lindee and Todd's wedding, is one of those weddings that make you believe in true love. That through thick and thin, love always wins. I cried a lot of this wedding, and even though I'm a sensitive person who LOVES weddings and I sort of tear up at every wedding I shoot, I for real cried at this one. Lindee and Todd are so sweet and funny together, but their children were so obviously in love with their parents and genuinely happy to be bringing their families back together. Goldfinch Events knocked it out of the park, perfectly blending Todd's California Cool vibe, with Lindee's Montana Ranch vibe.

Mary + Adam | Flathead Valley, Montana

Some weddings remind us of why we do this, and everything that weddings can be, this was one of those days. Mary and Adam invited us to be part of a beautiful day, filled with amazing moments, stories, and so many people whole loved them both. We gathered in a true Montana field under a cloudy blue sky for the ceremony, before heading to a barn to watch one of the summers best sunsets. Adam is a talented photographer himself, and we couldn't resist having them take pictures of each other on his Canon AE-1. They are truly people after our hearts, spending the year before their wedding traveling around the country pulling a turquoise trailer named Lucille, a story you can find in detail here:

Silas Newborn session

We don't normally photograph a lot of newborns, but when my friend Jon and his wife Jenni had there first baby, we wanted to create some beautiful images for them. Silas was 3 and a half weeks early, and at the time of these images was only about 4lbs 10oz.

We photographed this entire session in the couples bedroom, on a Hasselblad 500c, on 4 rolls of film, using Portra 800 for color and Ilford 3200 for the black and white. Photovision prints in Salem, Oregon did the amazing processing and scanning. The entire session was super simple and laid back.

Jon was the best man at my wedding, and I was best man at his, so its a privilege to be able to capture this part of their life

Krista and Earl: Anniversary: Seattle

I had the pleasure of meeting Krista and Earl in one of my very first weddings in Montana!  Then here we are, three or four years later, meeting up in Seattle! During our 1st anniversary trip of traveling through Portland, Cannon Beach, Astoria, Tacoma and ending in Seattle we had so many opportunities to hang out with fun people like Krista and Earl!! We might be biased, but we think having a portrait session with your honey is the best way to celebrate an anniversary and new life in the big city! Half this session was done at Alki beach in West Seattle were I convinced these two waking up at dawn would be worth it for the epic view of the city. Yeah, there was a thicker than pea soup fog down there...oh well, still gorgeous! Pretty sure whenever I live in Seattle I will be spending my days there ;) Then we ventured into the crazy traffic and wonderful Queen Anne district of Seattle where we got the REAL view of gorgeous downtown! Thank you Krista and Earl for the fun day in the city!! You two are so cute together, just the way you were when I first met you! ;)
