Elizabeth and Andrew + Las Vegas, Nevada Wedding Photographers

So this is a weird post, because Rachel and I had no intention of shooting a wedding in Vegas. We were there for a WPPI, and Showit United, a photographers tradeshow and conference. A few days in, a couple of photographers we had never met, announced on Facebook that they had decided to get married early, in Vegas, at the "Pop Up Wedding Chapel". They invited whomever wanted to come, so we naturally had to attend, because we don't go to enough weddings;) Joking aside, we thought it was awesome, and I honestly never get tired of seeing people in love make the insane crazy jump that is marriage.

We all sent them off in true wedding style, complete with bubbles. We were blessed, not only to witness this, but also to make new friends. God has a plan, and sometimes it seems that he shouts it from the strangest places, even Vegas.

I'd like to thank our whole little wedding party, Sarah Bardo, Donnell Probst, Jennifer Bischof, and Samantha and Reid of Orange Photography. It was a blast! and I can't wait to see you all again next year at Showit United:)

Vegas on Film

Last night, Rachel and I got back from WPPI, and Showit United. Right now both of us are completely brain dead and overwhelmed(In a good way) We had a blast, and were totally blown away and amazed by all the awesome talented, and cool photographers we met. The company that we use for our website, and also how we met:) Showit, put together an amazing series of speakers, events and tons to keep us occupied. We had a full registration to the normal WPPI platform classes, but didn't make it to a single one. We walked around Vegas as much as we could stand, and I was reminded how much I hate spending more than a day in Vegas:) We will have a couple more posts up in the next week or so, with more on what we did etc, but I wanted to post some of the shots from the film I shot while we were there. All of this is Kodak Portra, a roll of 400, and a roll of 160. Just desaturated the black and whites. Got them processed at a local lab, and the color isn't nearly as amazing as Richards Photo Lab, which is what I've used in the past. Another reason why Richard Photo Lab is amazing.

Seattle on Film

In December last year Rachel and I took a trip to seattle to see Jeremy Cowart's Lifefinder tour. I have been a fan of Jeremy Cowart's work for a long time, and he is one of my biggest inspirations. He is humble, talented, and artistic in a way thats not self glorifying or prideful in any way. He is also giving, and generous. He is the founder of the Help Portrait, a moment dedicated to helping Photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists, and many others give back to their communities. He is in so many ways a picture of the kind of man I wanna be when I grow up:) and it was amazing to meet him and hear him speak. We drove to seattle from montana for that, but ended up staying a couple days. I hadn't ever been to the city before, and instantly fell in love. we went to the art museum, stopped at pikes place market, and saw the gum wall, and visited the first Starbucks(Picture above). We decided to leave the digital cameras behind for most of the trip, taking a couple old cameras and film. All images are unretouched or edited, except for the shot of us with Jeremy Cowart, because it was severely underexposed haha turned it black and white.  We haven't shown these images anywhere else, and just got one of the rolls back from Richards Photo Lab last night.
