Mexico on film

A few months ago my friend Clayton Austin asked me to assist him at a wedding in Mexico. It was an amazing trip, and my first time in Mexico. Excited to go back this year, its an amazing country, and I'm so glad we were able to capture it on film.

If you want to check out the wedding we shot you can see that on Clayton's blog here: http://thesparrowandthecrow.com/chris-lauren-cabo-mexico.

This film was shot on a Contax 645, on both fuji and kodak films. Processing and scanning by Photovision prints.

Victoria on Hasselblad

We photographed this session of my good friend Victoria in the studio a few weeks ago. She is a amazingly talented singer, and song writer. Check out her facebook page here

All these images were captured on a Hasselblad 500c, with Kodak Portra 160 film, and Kodak Tri-X. Processing and scanning by our amazing lab Photovision

Silas Newborn session

We don't normally photograph a lot of newborns, but when my friend Jon and his wife Jenni had there first baby, we wanted to create some beautiful images for them. Silas was 3 and a half weeks early, and at the time of these images was only about 4lbs 10oz.

We photographed this entire session in the couples bedroom, on a Hasselblad 500c, on 4 rolls of film, using Portra 800 for color and Ilford 3200 for the black and white. Photovision prints in Salem, Oregon did the amazing processing and scanning. The entire session was super simple and laid back.

Jon was the best man at my wedding, and I was best man at his, so its a privilege to be able to capture this part of their life

One year, on Film and Hasselblad

For our one year anniversary We took a trip to Portland and Cannon beach to have our pictures taken by Erich McVey:) We can't wait to see the images he captured of us. He is an insanely awesome photographer, and such a awesome guy. Check his work out here, www.erichmcveyblog.com So excited to show some of our personal images we took during the trip on our Hasselblad 500c. We spent on night at the ACE hotel in portland, and met and photographed Jessica Zollman, and Aaron Durand in the lobby after seeing we both had Hasselblad cameras. Look them up, they are both crazy talented and nice people. We made the trip something of a coffee tour, stopping as often as we could at amazing roasters and coffee shops as we could, Stumptown was amazing, as was Milstead & Co, and Street 14 in Astoria (Where we also saw the Goonies house!!) It was an amazing trip. I can't believe its been a year of marriage already, so many amazing weddings, trips, and images. We are so blessed, and Its flown by, and we are so excited for year 2!!!
