Shayla and Leon, Musicians, Whitefish

Shayla and Leon are to amazing local musicians, and last week we had a blast collaborating on a shoot together. Check out some of Shayla's songs on youtube by clicking here. I've also put links to her itunes on the bottom of this post :) Check her out!

This entire session was done on Kodak and ilford film, on our Contax 645.

Here is a link to Shayla's album on iTunes. She and Leon have a new album coming out soon that we are super excited to hear:)

Thanks to Let The Kids for featuring a couple of the polaroids from this shoot!

Catlett and Dalton Family - Easter Sunday. Columbia Falls, Montana

Last week We went to grandmas house for Easter, and took some portraits of our own families. Something that doesn't happen enough :) We also did some portraits of Madison is my sweet 15 year-old cousin who will be graduating 8th grade this June. We thought it would be the perfect time to document her life right now with her best friend, Tanner. She's been working with our Uncle Mitch Barnes to train Tanner for rodeos and they both have come such a long way! Weddings, surprise proposals, epic 4th of July bashes, and over all "growing up" have all happened at Grandma and Grandpa's. I know that years from now we will all look back at all the amazing moments, people, and memories that were captured on camera here.

We chose to photograph these images on a Contax 645, with Kodak Portra 400 film. We really love the warmth and realness that the film shows, and how much we value each individual image.

Red Caboose Coffee and Yogurt, Whitefish, Mt

If you know Rachel and I, you know that we love coffee, and film. A few weeks ago we had the honor of combining the two, and photographing our favorite local coffee and yogurt place, The Red Caboose in downtown whitefish. We love these people, seriously, and Kelli and Reid Trontel have the best staff ever. They made us amazing food, coffee, and let us photograph them for a couple hours. I have never been on a shoot that smelled this good.

Check out Kelli's blog at : blog.kellitrontel.com

All these images were created on film, portra 400, 160, tri-x, and polaroids from the impossible project.
