Our Engagement on Film by Chris Rebo Photography

Seems like just the other day I was driving through beautiful fall colors to visit Rachel from my home in Bozeman. What a difference a year can make... One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is seeing a new story every week. Almost every weekend this summer I captured images as stories played out in front of my camera, each one closer to the day I would get to tell my own. One of the main reasons I became a photographer was preservation. The idea of forgotten memories scares me, I want everything to be remembered, savored, and basked in. So much of what we do is fleeting, over before its even a whisper. I think thats why we search so hard for that other half, that best friend to share the journey, because when the day is done it only matters if you had a witness, a person to remember the story with.

A person in that photograph with you....

Below are images of Rachel and I captured by my good friend Chris Rebo, also a amazing photographer. He is being awesome and letting me share a few here:)

Sarah and Brandon {Engaged} Bozeman Wedding Photographers

Had a blast with this session. I've known Sarah for a couple of years, I did a model shoot with her a couple of years ago. I was so excited when she contacted me about photographing her wedding. Brandon just got back from Afganistan, and the two of them together is an amazing combination. They were insanely easy to photograph, looking like the perfect young couple in love:) I'm so thankful you both picked Rachel and I to photograph your wedding, its going to be a great day!

Elizabeth and Andrew {Wedding} on Film

We posted a few days ago the digital files from Elizabeth and Andrews Las Vegas wedding, you can see that here. Had to wait a week to post these because I sent the film to Richard Photo Lab in Hollywood, they are amazing. This was all shot on Portra 400, rated at 1600 and pushed 2 stops. I'm still getting the hang of film, and these were less than ideal lighting conditions, but between the awesomeness of film, and the amazing people at Richards, we got some beautiful images. Elizabeth and Andrew were awesome, and we were so lucky to meet them in Vegas. This seriously made my trip worth it, and reminded me that the small friendships and groups are where the magic really happens at WPPI.

So blessed to be apart of these two peoples lives, and so glad I was able to practice my new found love of film :)
