Northern Wind | Olympic Peninsula, Washington

"You're the Northern Wind
Sending shivers down my spine
You're like fallen leaves
In an autumn night

You're the lullaby
That's singing me to sleep
You are the other half
You're like a missing piece

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don't know
What you do to me

You are all four seasons
Rolled into one
You're like the cold December snow
In the warm July sun

I'm the jet black sky
That's just before the rain
Like the mighty current
Pullin' you under the waves

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
You don't know
What you do to me

I'm the darkest hour
Just before the dawn
And I'm slowly sinking
Into the slough of despond

Like an old guitar
Worn out and left behind
I have stories still to tell
They're of the healing kind

Oh my love
Oh my love
Oh my love
If I could just
Find you tonight
If I could just find you tonight
Oh my love"

Northern Wind, City and Colour

We're so incredibly proud to finally show this shoot! We had the immense pleasure of producing a shoot for the inaugural issue of Dear Gray Magazine! Stephanie, the wonderful editor and creator of the magazine, approached us for a shoot that captured who Jeremiah and I were. From there we created this. We wanted something that felt like the two of us coming together. Jeremiah and I put ourselves into every shoot and wedding we do. Jeremiah is a little more rugged and natural where as I love the delicate soft and pretty side. One thing we wish to communicate to both our couples and other artists is the importance of putting your authentic self into each image and also understanding how your self and your story interacts with the couple's story. Understanding that and using that helps avoid trends or cliches while maintaining a classic, romantic feel.

You can find this editorial here, on the cover of Dear Gray Magazine!

A huge thank you to our incredible team who worked around the clock to make this a reality!

Krista and Earl: Anniversary: Seattle

I had the pleasure of meeting Krista and Earl in one of my very first weddings in Montana!  Then here we are, three or four years later, meeting up in Seattle! During our 1st anniversary trip of traveling through Portland, Cannon Beach, Astoria, Tacoma and ending in Seattle we had so many opportunities to hang out with fun people like Krista and Earl!! We might be biased, but we think having a portrait session with your honey is the best way to celebrate an anniversary and new life in the big city! Half this session was done at Alki beach in West Seattle were I convinced these two waking up at dawn would be worth it for the epic view of the city. Yeah, there was a thicker than pea soup fog down there...oh well, still gorgeous! Pretty sure whenever I live in Seattle I will be spending my days there ;) Then we ventured into the crazy traffic and wonderful Queen Anne district of Seattle where we got the REAL view of gorgeous downtown! Thank you Krista and Earl for the fun day in the city!! You two are so cute together, just the way you were when I first met you! ;)

One year, on Film and Hasselblad

For our one year anniversary We took a trip to Portland and Cannon beach to have our pictures taken by Erich McVey:) We can't wait to see the images he captured of us. He is an insanely awesome photographer, and such a awesome guy. Check his work out here, www.erichmcveyblog.com So excited to show some of our personal images we took during the trip on our Hasselblad 500c. We spent on night at the ACE hotel in portland, and met and photographed Jessica Zollman, and Aaron Durand in the lobby after seeing we both had Hasselblad cameras. Look them up, they are both crazy talented and nice people. We made the trip something of a coffee tour, stopping as often as we could at amazing roasters and coffee shops as we could, Stumptown was amazing, as was Milstead & Co, and Street 14 in Astoria (Where we also saw the Goonies house!!) It was an amazing trip. I can't believe its been a year of marriage already, so many amazing weddings, trips, and images. We are so blessed, and Its flown by, and we are so excited for year 2!!!
